While I like the DK Eyewitness travel guides in this case I was interested only in the Punta Cana district that is a rather limited chapter of this e-book. For this reason this particular guide could not really satisfy my need.

Love these Eyewitness Top 10 books. Easy to understand and carry with you on trips. Colorful and informative-pretty much has it all.

The book was great. I read through it at home and some how managed to loss it on the way to the Dominican Republic. Was very disappointed that I lost it.

DK is the perfect travel guide, don't travel anywhere without it.

I was disappointed in this book. It was the only book available that had been written and published in the last year. Every other book was old. I wanted up to date information and this book really doesn't cover much in the way of food safety, weather, specific tourist areas. Mostly a glossy over view of the country and museums.

Eyewitness travel guides have lovely illustrations although the "Top 10" ones may be too concise for some. Would recommend to all and is easy to read

We used this book only to help us decide where to go in the DR. However, when we went there in Jan 2009, we did not take the book. Descriptions were too superficial and it was not helpful for someone who was driving. A book such as The Rough Guide to the Dominican Republic as well as a large map are what you need once you are in the DR.

Great book.

This book was one of my most expensive books that I have boughten for college. I really enjoyed this book, and learned a lot about what law truly is. I was initially planning on selling this book back to my book store or to amazon, but i thinking that i am going to keep the book to look back upon in the future. Very easy to read and shows many real world examples with case numbers.

I am going to build a shed. It will be the death of me, most likely, but I am going to build a shed. Of all the books I have purchased on shed-building, this was hands-down the best of the lot. Speaking of lot, I have cleared an 8' x 12' space in the yard, and I am going to build a shed. My wife thinks I'm insane but I now have this book, an expensive miter saw, an angled ruler type thing, a box of screws and a dream. I am going to build a shed.

I needed a shed of 12 x 16' dimensions. I looked at the many pre-built or build-on-site local offerings but was not impressed by the quality of materials and/or craftsmanship. I had never constructed a building but decided I could do at least as well as the thrown together sheds I looked at. I bought a few sets of plans and read much about shed building but still wasn't completely comfortable since I had trouble putting all of the pieces together in my mind. I decided that this book might fill in the gaps and it definitely did that plus more.A picture is worth a thousand words and this book has many pictures, so I guess it equals thousands of words about shed building. I did not follow any specific plan from the book but used it as a guide to develop my own plan. With the information provided I felt confident that I could not only build the shed but it would be done well.My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy (to toot my horn), and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, those sheds went up in less than one day while mine took months doing it solo. But I'm pleased with the outcome and this book was extremely useful to me as a guide.

I build a shed using this book as a basic reference. I was expecting to build one of the plans in the book, but none of them were exactly what I was looking for. Its a good basic intro to shed building and I referenced it throughout the process. I wished it went into more detail on some of the critical steps like building trusses and doors, and installing windows. But overall I would say it was worth the cost as a reference.

This is a great book with a lot of good construction tips. The sheds featured in this book are probably built better than most peoples' homes. The author uses only the best materials and methods. It proved to be a great resource for my little 8' x 10' shed project. If you are turned off by the flimsy tin and home center kit sheds; if you want a shed that has some character and can be used as an extension of your home; then this book is for you.

Contains detailed, step-by-step instructions and lots of photos explaining how to build a good looking, high quality shed/workshop.

Having ordered 3 books on sheds based on the on-line reviews, this book along with Barns, Sheds and Outbuildings: Plan, Design, Build (Ultimate Guide To... [Paperback] The Ultimate Guide to Yard and Garden Sheds: Plan, Design, Build.... this is the only book you will need. The other two, while they show up under, "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought..." pale in comparison to the information contained in this book. In addition, the two I listed above are almost identical in content, same photos, diagrams etc. I have reviewed a couple of other offerings while at Home Depot and Lowes and while they may be good for ideas on style this book is all you need for construction. Enjoy it.

From a novice to a pro, this book gives you all you need to build a quality shed. The writing, along with the photos and drawings provide all that you need to construct a shed.

I am building a new shed. Haven't do so in over 20 years, so I wanted to see what kind of ideas I could find. Very good instructions, and lots of pictures along the way. I plan to incorporate some elements from this book and the "Sheds: The Do-It-Yourself Guide for Backyard Builders" book, making a unique product. For some reason, I like the writing a little better in this one.

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of pertinent information. Made me want to look more in depth at some of the things they talked about.

I got this for my friend who recently acquired a couple horses. She said it has been very helpful.

Good book to have around. It has the basics in it. I still found a few items I didn't know about until reading the book. Cheap and would recommend the book.

Bought this book about a month ago after moving to Nashville. I'm a pro drummer who has lived in NYC (6 years) and Las Vegas (8 years). I went to music school and got a performance degree. I can read music as well as anybody but nobody has ever talked to me about this system.The book is laid out in chapters that get more in depth with the notation and a corresponding song with each one as you go. Included is a CD which contains mp3's of examples and songs that Jim wrote and recorded (and sang on, wow he sounds good!!) and versions of the song sans drums, bass, guitar, and keys. So you can try your hand at recording your own version of the song while using the included chart much like you would get on a real session.There are also ear training exercises designed to help you write your own charts using the NNS. I haven't had to think like this since I was in college! Very cool!I found the book to be incredibly helpful in organizing a chart that not only gives me a complete road map of the song, but gives me chordal information that helps me keep my place in the music and decide how to orchestrate the music on the drum set...All the while leaving out just enough info that I'm relying on my ear to listen to the band and react accordingly in the moment.A great tool to keep in shed!! Very useful if you're living in Nashville but could also be useful outside of town as a musical shorthand of writing charts.

This a great book for learning about the number system - and for learning about music in general. Since the number system is based on diatonic chord theory, you can't help but walk away knowing more overall. It's clear, well thought out, and presented simply. You can tackle two or three concepts a day, go back and review a bit, then move ahead.So many books about theory are overly academic or give students a feeling of 'information overload.' This book is just the opposite. It gives me a feeling of, 'Cool, what's next?!!'Even more interesting: as a bass player, I had a few experiences of, 'Oh, THAT'S what that's called!' when the author put a NAME to some of the techniques I've used unconsciously for years. I feel like now, I can make more CONSCIOUS musical decisions, rather than relying on luck.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, for those who want to learn the number system, and those who want to learn more about music in general.

If you want to learn the Nashville Number System, this is the quickest, clearest publication I've come across to do so. Couple days - may be 8 hours total dedication to it, and I had a fair grasp on the concepts. If I wanted to really learn it well, I know I could if I put in more time, using this publication.

Jim Riley is the real deal. Well written book, clearly outlining the unique Nashville Number charting system. Includes audio links for examples of the teachings. Great product. Get it, if you plan on working in Nashville, or with any one who prefers this charting method in the studio or live.Must have!!

Don't be afraid of the Nashville Number System!! If you are a musician in a band this book will change your life!! and it's not hard....the book is laid out in a way that a 6th grader can follow but detailed enough that a seasoned musician can learn a lot from it as well. Every concept is backed up with a musical example and each chapter concludes with a fully produced play along track minus YOUR instrument. The ability to write charts this efficient and quickly can mean the difference between getting a gig or not, but the best reason to get this book is once you start thinking about music this way you instantly become a better musician.

I learned in no time how to chart out new tunes in minutes in a way that is very easy, easy to read and follow and extremely useful.This will help me prepare for short notice gigs and learn 50 song set lists faster than most of my competior drummers in town. This makes me a better, more sought after musician.Brett

Probably more helpful if you buy it in book form. On a kindle it's very hard to navigate through. Also, while I like her ideas, I find I have to correct her recipes. All the time. Not just this book.I'm fine with this, but someone who has just laid out $50 for ingredients to make various things and who stuck to the recipe, and now are confused as to why they didn't work, may be a bit miffed.

I still have not gotten to the end of this book, there are just so many great recipes I find myself going back (kindle version) and rereading so many times that I haven't made it all the way through yet! Every season gets great attention on how to make masks, makeup, skin lotions,and more! Also, as a bonus how to put them all in pretty containers if you want to send it to a loved one. I can not tell people enough how great this book is!

I am all about the natural body and hair care and love diy projects. Plus my sister just started her buisness making natural care products these books have given us so much inspiration and ideas. A must buy for any naturalista.
