Such a contrast between the turbulent and lawless way in which Mexico developed its government, and the orderly and lawful way it was done north of the border in USA and Canada. The legacy will live with Mexico for the foreseeable future with no hope of relief. Let's hope the counties north of the border takes the lesson seriously. I wonder how much of that has to do with the difference in culture between Spain and England.
What a protracted endeavour the 'revolution' was: with a rather rapid succession of conflicts and presidents.Seemingly all driven by overblown male egos, and a soupçon of religion.Hourly History wraps it all up into a neat book.Could have taken a bit more care with grammar here and there, including use of the comma.
I have spent a considerable amount of time in Mexico and knew most of the revolutionary names, now I can connect them to the events. A well written account of the events and the aftermath of the Mexican revolution.
Reading any of this book series are well worth your time.
