Jimmy is a bunny who rides a tricycle. He can't keep up with his older brothers who ride two-wheelers. Jimmy feels awful and goes home in tears. His dad cheers him up and offers to teach him how to ride a bicycle. Soon Jimmy is going just as fast as the others. Maybe even faster!I Love My Dad is a charming story that shows how a little perseverance and love can go a long way. The illustrations are nicely done and compliment the story well. I Love My Dad is a story that would appeal to children ages 4-7 - especially those just learning to ride a bicycle.
What a great story of how these boys' father was able to brighten his youngest son's days when he was so low and very unhappy at being left behind when his two older brothers decided to race on their bikes and the youngest was left in the dust, etc. I would recommend this for kids5-8 and in grades P-3. Because this really showed how much the Kids's dad really loved all his sons and the great and colorful illustrations that I felt it needs five stars. Jimmy the rabbit was the youngest of three brothers. He wanted to ride and race his bicycleg just like his brothers.But his bike was small with training wheels. His brothers laughed at him.Dad didn't laugh though.This warm little book illustrates what a parent, dad in this case, can do to help a child learn and make his way in the world.Loved the artwork also

Easy reads for beginners
Poor Jimmy the Bunny.....he is the youngest of the family and is just too small to be able to ride a two wheel bike. His two older brothers have great laughs at his expense. (I know the feeling as I was also the youngest of three!), Dad knew how to cheer him up, however, after he fell into a mud puddle. And, Dad promised him that he would teach him to ride the BIG bike.Dad built Jimmy's confidence up riding the two wheel bike and soon Jimmy was riding all by himself. I like the fact that the author has Jimmy put his helmet on before going for a spin.The drawings are so cute in this short book. I love the big ears and the colorful noses! The author suggests this book is for ages 5-- 8 and P - 3.Most highly recommended.
Shelley Admont is a successful mom and a successful creator of children's books that are for both entertainment and lessons for behavior for children. In this book she has wisely engaged illustrators Sonal Goyal and Sumit Sakhuja who provide wonderful images for Admont's story.We're back with the bunnies - Jimmy and his brothers are riding bicycles while their father reads in the backyard. Jimmy rides a tricycle and can't keep up with his older brothers on bikes. Jimmy feels it is unfair not to have a 2-wheeler but his brothers tease him and tell him he is too small. Jimmy tries but falls off the bike into the mud and his brothers laugh, making Jimmy run home crying. His father inquires about the problem and his father decides to change Jimmy's mood by making him laugh by tickling him. Success and Jimmy's father says after a bath he'll teach him to ride a 2-wheeler tomorrow. The next morning - a bit too early - Jimmy is ready to learn so he awakens his father and they dress and go out to the 2-wheeler. Jimmy's father removes the training wheels, gives Jimmy a helmet, and stays close by while Jimmy slowly learns how to ride on his own. And guess who wins the next brothers' riding race....Nice story, nice illustrations, nice lessons. Just what we have learned to expect from Shelley Admont. Grady Harp, May 15
